Space is limited – you must be registered to attend. This session is only for CARF-accredited CRP's. A maximum of TWO people may attend from each accredited organization. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Your attendance is not guaranteed until your registration and a copy of your facility's CARF certificate is received and confirmed by OARF by email.

The REGISTRATION DEADLINE is November 13, 2009, or when all seats have been reserved – whichever is earlier. Register early to ensure space availability.

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

This program presents highlights of CARF 2009 Employment and Community Services Business Practices in the areas of risk management, information management and performance improvement. The new program areas to be covered are: self-employment, mentors, personnel services to employers, affirmative business enterprises, employment recovery services, benefits planning, self-directed community supports and services and autism. The Business Networking through Social Networking Alliances portion will address linking community organizations and enhancing efficiencies and community impact.

The Ohio Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (OARF) presenters will cover the Accreditation and Compliance Monitoring Program and changes to the state laws and rules regarding CRP accreditation.

ABOUT THE CARF TRAINER AND PROGRAM SPEAKERS

Paul Andrew is CARF's Managing Director of Employment and Community Services, Customer Service Unit. His role is to facilitate the development of market driven accreditation standards and approaches, which help to continuously improve services to consumers, enhance organizational design and outcomes, and improve responsiveness to community stakeholders.

Julie Keil is the Executive Director of the Ohio Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, a statewide association of medical and rehabilitation facilities serving injured workers and people with disabilities.

Connie Hill is the manager of the Ohio Association of Rehabilitation Facilities' accreditation and compliance monitoring program.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

5.5 - 7 hours of CEU approvals from CRCC, CCMC, the Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board and ODDD are pending.
